Industrial Design
A design registration provides the owner with protection of the overall appearance resulting from one or more visual features of a product. When you have input financially, effort and time into developing a new design and do not obtain a design registration then anyone is free to use your design as they pleased.

Copyright is the exclusive right granted to the copyright owner to control a creative work for a certain period of time based on the Copyright Act 1987. The copyright can be the author of the creative work or any other person who has the legal interest in that creative work.

Jesslyn Lim Wei - Lin
Jesslyn holds a law degree from the University of London (Hons) (2005) majoring in corporate and commercial law. Thereafter, Jesslyn obtained the Certificate in Legal Practice, C.L.P. (Hons) in 2010 alongside, the Graduate ICSA degree that same year in 2010 and qualified as a Chartered Company Secretary. In 2011, Jesslyn obtained a Diploma In International Arbitration from Brickfields Asia College (BAC) and the Malaysian Institute of Arbitration (MIArb). In 2012, Jesslyn qualified as a Certified Contract Management Expert (CCME Expert) by the International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM). As of 7th of February 2025, Jesslyn qualified as a Malaysian Intellectual Property Organization (MyIPO) Patent Agent and is a Trademark Agent as of January 2026.
Jesslyn’s career summary include various in-house legal counsel roles in various fields such as Industrial Manufacturing with a local Malaysian Conglomerate I.e. Texchem Group of Companies, Mnanagement Consulting with an American Listed Company, Accenture Solutions, Telecommunications with Malaysian Mobile Giants such as U Mobile and Digi Telecommunications and Oil and Gas Operators such as the Global Company of Emerson Process Management. Jesslyn has also been in the Regional role as Legal counsel of a Rail Consulting company called Vix Technology.
In 2015 - 2016 Jesslyn chambered at the law firm of Azman, Davidson and Co. and also served as an Advocate & Solicitor in a local law firm in Penang from 2022 to 2024.
Jesslyn’s most recent role was as a Patent Executive in local Malaysian Intellectual Property Company, where Jesslyn’s role was to be responsible for intellectual property prosecution procedures and any other intellectual property related works. In addition to that, be responsible for general legal advisory work including intellectual property, data protection, corporate and commercial matters and any other ad-hoc legal work as required. In the role of Legal Execuitive with Texchem Group of Companies, Jesslyn handled over 177 individually registered for local and foreign trademarks of the Group.
Todate, Jesslyn is the Managing Director of Twipto IP (M’sia) Sdn Bhd wich was concieved as of the 24th of July 2025.
